CA2800 Series Adjustable Spring ADA Institutional Closer

The 2800 Series is designed to provide highly flexible door control suitable for use on hollow metal, aluminum storefront, and wood doors typically used in heavy duty commercial construction, and comes with a 5-year warranty.
Features
• Complies to ANSI/BHMA A156.4-2008 Grade 1 for Modern Types with Cover C02011, C02021, and C02041, and conforms with the Federal Accessibility Standards (ADA) and ANSI A117.1 (4,13,11).
• UL Listed UL10C and UBC 7.2 (1997) BS476 for positive pressure and Fire Safety, and for use on “A” label fire doors.
• Universally non-handed and Tri-Packed for mounting applications permitting Standard, Top Jamb, and Parallel Arm installations (Parallel Arm Bracket included).
• Adjustable spring power for a range of sizes from (ADA) 1 through 6. ADA OPENING FORCE 2800 SERIES CLOSERS Caution: Any manual door closer, including door closers certified by BHMA/ANSI to conform to A156.4, that are installed and adjusted based on ADA or other reduced opening force requirements may not provide sufficient power to reliably close and latch the door.
• Specially formulated stable high viscosity door check fluid for climatic operation in extremes of heat and cold, high flash point, and provides for constant unit lubrication.
• High Impact non-corrosive PVC Dress Cover secured by machine screws.
• TAA Compliant and Meets Buy America Act criteria and requirements.
Heavy Duty Construction • Heat-treated high quality structural steel SC45C rack and SCM440 pinion control mechanism is contained in a high performance one piece cast iron body casting.
• Heavy duty one piece impermeable cast iron body with .1568 wall thickness.
• Assembled with needle bearings for added durability and maximum operating efficiency.
• Springs are high tensile SAE9254 oil tempered Japanese spring steel for consistent, enhanced performance and extended use.
• Forged Main Arm Assembly engages a heat-treated 7/16” pinion shaft for a secure door closer /arm connection.
Valve Functions
• Separate non-critical valves with Mitsubishi military grade ‘O’ rings independently regulate the closing and latching speeds, with a third valve regulating the adjustable back-check function.
• Adjustable back-check protects door and hardware from damage during any abusive opening cycle.
